Iβm Robin, Editor of Misstropolis.
I hope this site brings you some joy and some knowledge (or at least a nice distraction) during this surreal, enlightening and historic time.
I like to write about art, style and purpose. If you have ideas for stories or would like to contribute, Iβd love to hear from you.
Thanks for reading!
Misstropolis
Spirit & Style, Inside & Out
Robin Hauck is a researcher, writer and advocate based outside Boston. She received her Masters in Comparative Media Studies from MIT and her Bachelors in English and Creative Writing from Denison University.
Robin founded Misstropolis in order to explore the intersection of art, history, culture and identity politics, and champion work by thought-leading female artists.
She is active on the Advisory Board of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston and VIA Art Fund and travels extensively to learn about art in diverse contexts. She participates in local advocacy around issues of climate change and equity through her role as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Hale Education, and family homelessness as a volunteer and member of the Advisory Council of Horizons for Homeless Children. Understanding food as a powerful cultural envoy, she writes local food stories for Edible Boston and Edible Worcester.
Although a spaz, she loves tennis, yoga and snowboarding, especially when joined by her husband and three inspirational daughters.
Most of all she is a champion of women. Hopefully after spending time here, you will be too.
